A key agreement between Ukraine and the European has been signed in Lviv , which provides for almost 1.9 billion euros for military support. Representatives of the Kingdom of Denmark, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, France and Italy took part in the document .
Assistance is divided into several strategic areas: EUR 1 billion will be aimed at purchasing weapons from domestic defense enterprises. Financing is implemented according to so -called " Danish model" , which provides direct support for local manufacturers. More than 600 million euros will be allocated for the purchase of artillery systems and ammunition, which is critical for the defense capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More than 200 million euros will go to strengthen air systems - in the face of massive missile attacks it is a matter of security for critical infrastructure and civilian population.
The Ukrainian government thanked the European partners for strong support, emphasizing that cooperation within the defense industry with the EU countries has become one of the main key to preserving the sovereignty of the country.
