The EU is considering measures against Georgia due to its anti-Western course and the law on "foreign agents"

The Member States of the European Union have received proposals for measures that the EU can take against Georgia through its anti-Western course and the adoption of a contradictory law on "inaging".

This was reported by journalist Ricard Josvyak.

According to Jazvak, the short -term measures considered by the EU may be suspension of high -level funding and meetings with Georgia. If the situation aggravates, the EU proposes to impose individual sanctions against Georgian officials, cancel visas for foreign passports, and reduce military assistance and support.

In addition, in the case of a "significant deterioration" of the situation in Georgia, the EU can suspend a visa -free regime and stop the process of Georgia integration into the EU.

On Monday, June 3, Georgia ended the process of adopting a widely criticized law on transparency of foreign influence, known as the Law on "Inaging" or "Russian Law" - the document was signed by the Parliament Papuasvili speaker.

After the final adoption of the law, the European Union warned that it considers "all options" of response to the actions of Tbilisi.
