The launch of a new bandwidth to visit the European Union, known as the "entry authorization system" (ETIA) was postponed to mid -2025, not 2024, as previously planned.
According to the EU, this system stipulates that about 1.4 billion people from more than 60 countries entitled to the EU visa -free entry will have to obtain permission to enter up to 30 European countries for short -term stay.
The list of countries to which ETIAs will need to be obtained, Bulgaria, Romania and Cyprus are included.
With the ETIA system, it will be possible to stay in any EU country for up to 90 days for every six months.
Despite the introduction of ETIAs, foreigners will still have border control and present the necessary documents.
ETIA electronic permission is expected to be issued for three years or before the expiry of the foreign passport.
