The European Commission has confirmed the payment of EUR 1 billion in Ukraine

The European Commission has paid Ukraine 1 billion euro as part of a macro -financial assistance under the G7 loan, which will be repaid at the expense of receipts from blocked Russian assets. It happened within the framework of the financial support program of Ukraine, which was launched since the beginning of Russian aggression.

This payment is part of a total EU's assistance package, which provides 18.1 billion euros within the framework of macro -financial assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, the total support provided by the European Union exceeds € 45 billion.

The European Commission emphasized that since the beginning of the war the EU has become the largest donor for Ukraine. The payment of this tranche is an important part of strategic support that the European Union provides Ukraine to stabilize its economy and support in war.

Since the beginning of the year, the total volume of loans granted to Ukraine under this program has reached 4 billion euros since the beginning of the year. It is expected that several more payments will be made in the near future, depending on the needs of Ukraine and during the continuation of negotiations between the Ukrainian authorities and the European Commission.

Brussels also noted that negotiations with Ukraine on the schedule of the following payments are ongoing. The European Commission is ready to transfer the remaining funds within the framework of macro -financial assistance, depending on the needs of the country, as discussed at the Special European Council at the beginning of this month.

These financial resources are key to maintaining the stability of Ukraine's economy in a continuous war, and the EU continues to play an important role in providing financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
