On February 14, the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada did not take place due to the blocking of the rostrum and the government bed by the People's Deputies from the European Solidarity faction. The protesters continued to express their dissatisfaction with the sanctions imposed on their leader Petro Poroshenko.
The People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this in his telegram-channel, noting that due to the blocking of the Presidium and the Government Lodge, the plenary session could not begin. “What had to be proved. The government lodge is blocked, the presidium is too… Everything. Day ... ended without a meeting, ”he wrote.
This is no longer the first case when the opposition faction uses the blocking of the stands as a means of protest against political decisions. On this day, an hour of questions to the government, as well as ministers' speeches, was traditionally required at the meeting.
