In Europe, it is planned to expand production capacities for GEM-T (Guidance Enhanced Missils) for the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system. About it reports the NATO Procurement Agency (NSPA). The order was made on behalf of several European countries, including Germany, the Netherlands, Romania and Spain. According to the contract, Patriot is planned to be made up to 1000 missiles. The task will be completed by the ComOLG company, which is a joint venture by the US company Raytheon and the European company MBDA. It is noted that production will be placed in Germany.
Danilo Getmantsev expressed his comment on this initiative. He stated that although this is a positive news, the number of 1000 missiles made for the Patriot system for four countries is quite small. It has been noted that Russia has released 221 rocket in the direction of Ukraine in the last week.
