The European Union is preparing new sanctions against Russia

The European Union plans to introduce a new thematic regime of sanctions against Russia, aimed at combating hybrid threats that come from the aggressor country. This was reported by Radio Svoboda journalist Ricard Josvyak.

According to information, on October 2, the Ambassadors of the European Union will discuss the details of a new sanction package, which will be formalized next week. According to Josvyak, "there are no names yet, but they will be added in the future", which indicates the seriousness of the EU's intentions in relation to the Russian Federation.

Initially, it was planned to introduce a general regime of sanctions, but it was eventually decided to focus on specific Russian threats. This solution emphasizes the adaptability and flexibility of European policy in response to modern security challenges.

Against the backdrop of these events, the United Kingdom also announced new sanctions concerning five ships and two navigable organizations in response to the Russian Federation. In addition, the UK's financial sanctions management has imposed a fine of £ 15,000 (about UAH 826.3 thousand) on Integral Concierge Services (ICSL) for breach of financial sanctions.
