The assessment of Ukraine's fulfillment of unfulfilled conditions taken by the end of the year is completed. The European Commission is waiting for the fulfillment of conditions related to the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) and the selection of judges, to receive 1.5 billion euros of financial assistance in December. This was reported by the head of the EU trade and economic department in Ukraine Alberto Fernandez-Dies. According to him, key conditions relate to the rule of law, including the strengthening of the SAP and changes in the selection of judges in Ukraine.
Representatives of the RRR4U consortium clarified that it was a matter of adoption of trees approved in the first reading of November 21: No. 10140-d with amendments to the Law on the Law on Judiciary and Status of Judges and No. 10060 on improving the institutional independence of the SAP. The need for a law on criminalization of smuggling No. 5420, approved in the first reading in July this year, is also indicated.
Fernandez-Dies noted that macro-financial assistance should be seen as a tool to support Ukraine in the decision of payments and as an incentive for reforms. He stressed that the principle of attachment of financing to conditions will be implemented in the future Ukraine Facility program with a volume of 50 billion euros for 2024-2027. The conditions of these reforms will be defined in the plan of Ukraine, which is discussed with a number of ministries of Ukraine.
