Since September 2022, Russia has released about 3800 Kamikadze drones in Ukraine, said the Air Force Air Force Yuri Ignat. These drones are used by Russians as percussion unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
"It is Dronov-Kamikadze in the territory of our country, if you update the information, that about 3800 has already been launched since September last year, when the UAVs began to use," Ignat said.
It is stated that the Ukrainian military managed to knock down about 3000 Kamikadze drones. He also emphasized that Ukraine's air defense is strengthened by Western weapons, but more recent remedies are needed to fight UAVs.
"About 3,000 thousand of these drones are destroyed by defense forces. There is something to think about. We still need more systems that will work against the UAV," he added.
The night attack is recorded in different regions of Ukraine, where enemy Dron-Kamikadze was directed to Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya and Kyiv regions. Of the 49 launched drones, the Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 21. After the attack, the Russians also hit the Shahaneda on Khahedu, causing explosions in the city center.
It is important to note that the fall of fragments of whipped drones has led to a fire at the object of critical infrastructure in the Kiev region.
