Yurcash Frontman Yurko Yurchenko, almost 20 years after national selection for Eurovision 2005, made a loud statement. In a new interview, the musician stated that the results of the then vote were falsified, and it was his group - not Grindjoli - had to represent Ukraine at an international competition.

"Then they pushed the first place in *** (I will not even mention it, because it has died for all of us for a long time), but others have won, because the political situation changed. Even then, colleagues who had access to the vote said: 'Did you win that vote, but you understand that you will not go to Eurovision?"
The artist hinted at the sidelines and the impact of political expediency on the creative process and selection of representatives of Ukraine on the international stage.
