The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the chief accountant of one of the branches of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” in Poltava region on cooperation with Russian special services. According to the investigation, the official transmitted the FSB information on the military transportation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine using official documentation.
The malefactor "poured" the Russian invaders about the time, directions and features of cargoes of military echelons that transported artillery weapons, armored vehicles and ammunition. Most of the enemy was interested in trains moving to the Eastern Front.
At first, the agent passed through her husband, who is a fighter in the occupation groups of Russia in the Donbass. Subsequently, the FSB brought her to a direct connection with the curator.
To obtain the necessary data, the official used access to Ukrzaliznytsia's official documents and asked colleagues about additional information on transportation.
The counterintelligence of the SBU documented the crimes of the persons and detained it in Poltava at the place of residence. At the same time, measures were taken to protect the routes of military echelons.
It turned out that by 2014 the woman lived in Gorlovka in Donetsk, but after the occupation of the city moved to Poltava. Her husband remained in the temporarily occupied territory and joined the Russian groups. It was in the spring of 2024 that became the mediator between her and the FSB.
Investigators of the SBU reported the detainee of suspicion of the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- State betrayal committed in the conditions of martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code).
- Justification, recognition legitimate, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation and glorification of its participants (Part 1, 3, Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code).
The official is taken into custody without bail. She is threatened with life imprisonment with confiscation of property. The investigation also plans to report in absentia the suspicion of her husband.
