Zelensky's statement about returning from the front

In his interview with Italian journalist Chechilily, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave a clear explanation of the situation with the demobilization and rotation of the military in the country during the war. He noted that the return from the front without further performance of military duties is not currently provided by the current legislation.

"The war is long, it tires any person," Zelensky said, emphasizing the importance of compliance with the legislation, which is the basis for resolving military issues. According to the President, the mobilization of citizens from 25 years is currently underway, which includes certain rotations or leave for servicemen.

However, he acknowledged that this may not be enough to recover. "Is there any requests to return home and no longer return to the front? Certainly, they are not provided for by law today," the head of state explained.

The president also stressed that martial law means mobilizing not only people but also all resources available in the country. In his view, any mass release of the military from the front can have catastrophic consequences for the country.

"If tomorrow half of our army just go and go home, then it was necessary to give up on the first day of the war. If tomorrow half of people go home - Putin will kill us all," Zelensky said, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.
