The women's football team continues to be confident in the League of Nations 2025. In the match of the third round of the group stage, the team under the direction of Vladimir Pyenko won a minimal victory over the Czech Republic with a score of 1: 0.
The match took place on April 5 in the Polish city of Polokice. Before the game, both teams had six points and divided the leadership in the B4 group, but thanks to the victory of the Ukrainka, they came to the sole place.
The only ball in the meeting was scored by Olga Ovdiychuk in the 57th minute. Nicole Kozlov made a goal transfer to it. After that, the Ukrainians confidently kept the advantage and did not allow rivals to create effective moments.
This is the third consecutive victory of the Ukrainian national team in the group. Earlier, the team overcame Albania with a score of 2: 1, as well as with the same result won Croatia. Thus, after three rounds, Ukraine has a maximum nine points and alone heads the group.
The next "Blue and yellow" match will be played on April 8, again against the Czech national team, but this time on the departure.
