President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has announced plans to obtain modern F-16 fighters for control of celestial space. He stressed that Ukrainian pilots should learn to use these planes quickly, but there is no specific date.
Zelensky reported it during a meeting with the Nikolaev students, noting that there are already agreements on obtaining these fighters.
"Undoubtedly, modern fighters are needed to control the sky. An agreement is a general. Not 'if' but there are. When we get them, there is no date. There is no fact
The President explained that the duration of training depends on various factors, including the level of English, the experience of the pilot and other aspects. According to him, it is important that the pilots freely speak English for successful learning.
"I think we will be able to get the first fighters in 2024. I think so it will be," he added.
