Volodymyr Zelensky announced his intentions to prepare a plan for holding the Second International Summit on Ukraine. He also noted that it considers the presence of Russian representatives in this event.
Last month, Kyiv received delegations from 92 countries at the first summit in Switzerland to discuss a peaceful settlement plan. Moscow did not receive an invitation to this event and recognized it to the doomed.
"My goal is to have a completely ready plan for November," Zelensky said at a press conference. "I think that there should be representatives of Russia at the second summit," he added.
Zelensky is gradually changing his rhetoric in peace talks, realizing that Western partners can at any time reduce support, which will affect his political situation both internationally and within the country.
It should be noted that Russia is skeptical of the new summit. Earlier, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia stated that representatives of the country did not intend to participate in the next summit. The Kremlin spoke less categorically, noting that the idea of the second summit "has no clear meaning."
