President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has spent a long telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron after an emergency meeting of European leaders in Paris. The main topic was the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine.
According to Zelensky, they with macron have a common vision - guarantees should be reliable and strong. The President of Ukraine stressed that any other decision, such as a temporary ceasefire without real guarantees, can only become another trap by Russia and a prerequisite for new aggression.
In addition, Macron informed Zelensky about his talks with other world leaders, not only European. The leaders agreed to remain in constant contact to resolve critically important issues.
The day before in Paris there was a security meeting of leaders of European states on the initiative of the French president. It took place in an expanded format of the Weimar Triangle, which included representatives of France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom and a number of other countries.
At the same time, Central Europe countries, including Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania and the Czech Republic, have been disappointed because of the lack of invitation to this summit.
Ukraine continues diplomatic efforts to obtain reliable security guarantees that should prevent possible new threats to the country and the region.
