Zelensky signed a new law on demobilization

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed Law No. 11531, which grants the right to demobilize to servicemen if their minor brothers or sisters have died or disappeared during the fighting.

This document is part of the amendments to the Law on Military Duty and Military Service. It envisages the provision of military possibility of dismissal from service in certain circumstances concerning the loss of relatives during the war.

The explanatory note to the law states that its adoption allows you to restore the right to demobilization for those who have lost their dislike brothers or sisters in hostilities. Previously, such servicemen were in an unequal position compared to those who lost their full relatives.

One of the authors of the law, the People's Deputy Alexei Goncharenko, explained that the need to approve this document lies in ensuring equal rights for all servicemen, regardless of the degree of affinity with the dead or missing relatives. The law restores justice and enables those who have suffered such losses, to be released from service and to return to civilian life.

The adoption of this law is an important step to support the military and their families who have suffered serious losses during the war.
