President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on statements of the United States on a possible leaving the negotiation process to settle the war. In his opinion, such signals indicate the complexity of even the initial stage of arrangements.
He said this during a meeting with journalists.
He noted that it is very difficult to reach even the first step - ceasefire. According to Zelensky, everyone understands how difficult the following issues will be, including territories or sanctions. That is why similar signals appear on the part of individual countries.
The President suggested that after the alleged ceasefire agreement, some states will want Ukraine to continue negotiation with Russia on its own. At the same time, he expressed confidence that European countries will continue to be left side by side, as they have common interests and responsibilities in this process.
