President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed the government to analyze the American support programs that are currently suspended. He reported this in his video message on January 28, stressed that much of these initiatives concerning the humanitarian sphere.
"Today, government officials have been reporting to the US support programs that are now suspended. These are humanitarian programs. Alexei Kuleb and other government officials find out what programs are now in the shortage;
According to him, the government will identify critical programs that need immediate decisions. Ukraine plans to provide part of the financing with its own expense, while other projects will be discussed with European and American partners.
Support suspension has affected a wide range of spheres - from digitalization and communication to education, medicine, assistance to veterans and the reconstruction of destroyed infrastructure.
"The details of the programs were not a state business, but government officials will present everything, and what is a priority, which concerns Ukrainian children, first of all, our veterans, protection programs of our infrastructure," we will surely support priority things, "Zelensky emphasized.
Thus, the Ukrainian authorities are preparing for a possible long -term reduction in financial assistance from the US and trying to find alternative sources of support for critically important projects.
