The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commented on the massive night attack by Russian Shahed kamikaze drones on Tuesday night, which became a record for the number of drones used. According to him, such activity became possible due to large-scale evasion of sanctions by Russia.
On the night of November 26, Russia launched an attack with 188 kamikaze drones, most of which were Iranian-made. Ukrainian air defense was able to destroy about 80 drones, more than 90 lost contact with control bases. However, the attack caused significant damage to critical infrastructure, especially in Ternopil.
Zelensky emphasized that the success of Russian attacks largely depends on access to foreign technologies.
The president emphasized that such attacks are possible only because Russia circumvents international sanctions through complex schemes.
He called on the international community to work more actively to ensure that the sanctions work more effectively, and thanked everyone who blocks the supply of components for Russian military equipment.
