President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Donald Trump on inauguration as a new US president, expressing his hope for fruitful cooperation between the two countries.
"I congratulate President Donald Trump and the American people with inauguration! This is a day of change, as well as hopes for solving many problems, including global challenges," Zelensky said.
In his address, the head of the Ukrainian state emphasized that Trump proclaimed the policy of "peace through power" makes it possible to strengthen American leadership and achieve a stable peace in the world.
"Trump is always decisive, and it gives a chance to achieve a reliable and just peace is the most important thing," Zelensky emphasized.
He also noted that the future of the century is now being decided, calling for the unity of democratic countries in confrontation to those who threaten world stability:
“We must act together so that this century becomes great and successful for democracies, and not for those who wish us all failure."
The President of Ukraine has expressed his readiness for active and mutually beneficial cooperation with the United States under new leadership, emphasizing a common goal - to ensure security, stability and economic growth.
"Together we can give the world and our peoples more security, stability and economic growth," Zelensky added.
This gesture demonstrates Ukraine's desire for partnerships with the United States on the basis of common democratic values and common challenges in the modern world.
