President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has commented on negotiations with the US Finance Minister Scoto Bessent on the future resource agreement, emphasizing that Ukraine will not be pressured and will seek favorable conditions for both parties. According to Zelensky, the US should provide technologies and jobs, and Ukraine is ready to provide its subsoil for mutually beneficial cooperation.

The president reported that the first meeting of negotiation teams between Ukraine and the US, which will take place in Washington, will be technical. "It will be one of the discussions. Important. Because we will be ready to talk about the principles on which the future treaty is ready. This is the technical group, which will most likely be headed by the Deputy Minister of Economy Kachka. And there will be representatives of other ministries," Zelensky said.

The Head of State criticized Scott's approach to the negotiation process, noting that the US Finance Minister had no right to put ultimatums and demand the signing of the agreement without proper discussion. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine should have the right to discuss the terms of the treaty equal to all other partner countries.

"I do not consider Ukraine a third -in -law country. I believe that we must communicate on an equal footing, and this agreement should be profitable for both parties. It is important to discuss all the conditions and find a compromise that will be profitable for each party," Zelensky summarized.
