On May 1, 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction of three packages of NSDC sanctions against legal entities and individuals, including former adviser to the Presidential Office Alexei Arestovich.
According to the president, 36 companies and 5 individuals serving Russian military production include the first package of sanctions. In particular, we are talking about titanium suppliers, metallurgical enterprises, companies operating in energy and mechanical engineering. Some of these persons and companies have already fallen under the sanctions of other partner countries, and Ukraine has managed to synchronize its sanctions with international pressure on Russia aimed at weakening its military potential.
President Zelensky emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation with international partners to ensure the effectiveness of sanction pressure on Russia. He noted that sanctions are an important tool in the struggle for the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity and the termination of Russia's aggression.
Additionally, the President said that work is currently working to ensure that partner countries have also imposed sanctions on persons and companies who have been restricted by the NSDC of Ukraine to strengthen international pressure on Russia and its allies.
