The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, explained why the participation of the North Korean military in the war against Ukraine is dangerous not only for Ukrainians, but also for the countries of the Pacific region, in particular for Japan. North Korean soldiers are gaining combat experience in cooperation with the Russian army, which can change the balance of security in the world.
Zelensky emphasized that North Korea uses the conflict in Ukraine as a platform to train its military.
The president noted that the Kremlin uses North Korean soldiers as "cannon fodder" because Russian society is not ready to accept large losses among its military.
Although at the moment the DPRK military is not yet "ready" for large-scale combat operations, their training on the battlefield poses a long-term threat to the entire Pacific region.
