On January 15, 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Poland, where he will meet with Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw. This visit is an important stage in the development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Poland, especially against the background of current historical disputes and exhumation issues.
After the meeting, Zelensky and Tusk will hold a joint press conference. It is scheduled for 13:40 Kyiv time (11:40 GMT), which is expected to discuss important topics of cooperation between countries, in particular against historical issues.
The visit of the President of Ukraine comes against the backdrop of a "breakthrough" in a historical dispute between Poland and Ukraine on the exhumation of victims of past conflicts, including the Volyn tragedy. The Polish Government has reported that decisions on the first exhumation of the Polish victims of the Volyn tragedy in Ukraine.
