Zelensky believes that Ukrainians abroad will find motivation to return after the war

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his conviction that after the war, Ukrainians who are now abroad will be motivated to return to Ukraine and join the country's restoration process. He expressed his opinion during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz.

According to Zelensky, after the war, Ukraine will survive the global recovery process, which will become an additional incentive for Ukrainians to return from abroad, especially taking into account jobs and security.

"There is no point in motivating any slogans of Ukrainians here ... I believe that [they] will be a great motivation," he said.

Zelensky also stressed that Ukraine cannot force citizens to return, but now, at such a difficult moment, supports any voluntary decision on their part to help restore the country.

According to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) among Ukrainian refugees, the most common condition for their return to Ukraine is the normal work of critical infrastructure (34%) and security (34%). Respondents also noted the importance of solving the housing problem (26%) and the end of the war (26%). Partially less weight were able to find a job (16%) and conditions for children at school or kindergarten (13%).

The authors of the study believe that those who do not have or have not submitted documents for citizenship of other countries, are not sure that they are not sure of satisfaction of living conditions in a new country and have certain conditions for return.
