President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference in Kiev for the first time announced the loss of the Armed Forces in the war. He called the figure - 31 thousand dead.
The President noted that information about the death of 100 or 300,000 Ukrainian military, which is distributed in Russia and the US, is false.
According to Zelensky, this is very sensitive information, but he decided to voice it.
"31,000 Ukrainian military killed in this war ... But every loss is a great loss for us," he said.
At the same time, Zelensky refused to name the number of wounded and missing persons of the Armed Forces.
As for the Russian army, according to Zelensky, the losses are 180 thousand dead. Along with the wounded losses of the Russian Federation are 500 thousand wounded, he said.
It should be noted that the loss of Russians, which gives the Ukrainian General Staff daily, differ from the Zelensky voiced. As of February 25, the General Staff accrued that Russia had lost 409,000 soldiers.

Zelensky also told when Ukraine hopes to get help from the United States. It has been blocked in Congress for almost 4 months, the speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson has not even brought to the vote a corresponding bill.
Nevertheless, the Ukrainian leader hopes for a positive solution to the US Congress. According to him, Ukraine hopes to receive assistance for the next month.
"The hope of Congress is and I am sure that there will be a positive ... They know that we need their support within a month, this is our request."
He also announced the urgent need for additional supply of US aircraft. Zelensky emphasized that it is about military rather than financial assistance.
At the same time, the President did not inform what the actions of Ukraine will be if the Congress did not make a decision to support Kiev.
With regard to the supply of long -range weapons from Western partners, Zelensky stressed that he was positive about it.
At the same time, he gave an example when promised by the event military equipment did not arrive in Ukraine. According to him, last year, because of this, the four crews of the Armed Forces were not able to provide everything they needed to attract in the offensive.
As for the advantage of the Russian Federation in artillery, it now is 1 to 6.6. Zelensky stressed that for successful offensive actions of the Armed Forces, at least 1 to 3 should be reduced.
If Ukraine does not receive so many ammunition and artillery, then it will be forced to stand in defense, sometimes losing the territory under pressure from Russia.
The way out of the situation is the pressure on Western partners who promised to supply Ukraine with the required number of ammunition, the President stressed.
About the dispute with Poland

Zelensky stated that it was not an economic, but a "political" issue that needs to be resolved immediately. In his view, it is associated with domestic political processes in Poland and Ukraine for "pressure on European institutions".
"From April last year, I say that it is a political issue ... And today it is confirmed by the European Commission. I said that any election in Poland, any team that would come will not change this vector," he said.
"To use Ukraine as pressure on European institutions is just unfair. I think the premieres will find steps back. It is important for us to keep an alliance with Poland. If the steps are not found, we will protect us business," the President said.
Dialogue with Putin?

Speaking of the possibility of dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Zelensky stated that he had no desire to communicate with him.
"Is it possible to talk to a deaf person? Can we talk to a person who kills his opponents?" - he raised a rhetorical question to journalists.
Zelensky also remembered how in December 2019 he personally met with Putin.
"We had a long conversation in different tones. I told him that the Minsk agreements would not work, because the topic of the withdrawal of troops along the line of collision is not working, I explained to him with the numbers very specific."
According to the Ukrainian President, the vulnerable place of Putin is money. Therefore, he considers it critically important to confiscate frozen Russian assets.
"For him, money is number one. If you hear his message, everything around money is there. He provides the safety of this money, even frozen assets abroad."
Zelensky said that in the spring it is to take place in Switzerland, the "Inuggication Summit" on the implementation of the Ukrainian "Peace Formula". On it the Ukrainian authorities will publish a plan of its implementation, the document will also be represented by the Russian side.
"We will do our best to prepare a document for the whole world, which should lead to the end of the war," he said.
