President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has introduced new economic sanctions, capturing 51 persons and 134 companies, in order to strengthen the economic pressure on some of the quantities and legal structures. This decision was made in the context of the National Security Council of Ukraine.
Decree No. 850/2023 is aimed at 8 individuals and 15 companies, including citizens of Cyprus, Ukraine and the Russian Federation. Some of the companies are located in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Decree No. 851/2023 affected 43 individuals and 119 companies, including citizens of Russia, Ukraine and Latvia.
The sanctions introduced provide for freezing of assets of individuals and legal entities in the territory of Ukraine, as well as a ban on trade with them. The restrictions will be five to ten years old.
Ukraine continues to actively use economic sanctions as a tool of pressure on Russia and related persons in response to aggression and occupation of the territory.
