President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his condolences to the family and brothers of the Ukrainian pilot of F-16, Captain Pavel Ivanov, who died in the battle of the Ukrainian pilot. The tragic event happened on April 12, 2025, when a 26-year-old pilot was killed in a combat mission at the front.
In his Telegram-channel Zelensky wrote: "Today, Captain Pavel Ivanov was killed in battle on the F-16. The President also stressed that the necessary reports of the military to find out all the circumstances of the tragedy.
Zelensky drew attention to the important role of Ukrainian aviators in the protection of the country. He stressed that Ukrainian F-16, mirages and miga heroically perform military tasks, not only supporting ground operations, but also actively protecting the airspace from Russian rockets and drones. "Air Force is also involved in the protection of Ukraine from Russian missiles and drones," he added.
Volodymyr Zelensky also promised that Ukraine would give a decent response to the aggressor, emphasizing: "We will answer strongly and accurately."
The death of Pilot Pavel Ivanov became a difficult blow to the Ukrainian military, but his heroism and dedication became a symbol of the struggle for the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine.
