Zelensky opposed lowering the mobilization age

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky categorically rejected the idea of reducing the mobilization age to 18 years, which, he said, is supported by the United States of America. The head of state stated that now priority should be the provision of Ukrainian brigades with modern military equipment and quality training of personnel, not the involvement of young people in the front due to lack of resources.

"In the media, many talk about the reduction of the conscript age of Ukrainians to depart to the front. We must focus on providing available teams with equipment and training personnel for the use of this equipment. We should not compensate for the lack of equipment and the preparation of soldiers," Zelensky said.

The President emphasized that Ukraine should strive to preserve as many people's lives as possible. This requires him to direct efforts to supply missiles and reduce Russia's military potential.

"The purpose should not be to preserve the weapons in warehouses, but to preserve the lives of Ukrainians," Zelensky emphasized.

This position of the President reflects the state's desire for effective use of available resources and preserving human resources, which is extremely important in the long war.
