President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the Meet The Press with Kristien Welker on the NBC TV channel said that without supporting the United States, Ukraine's chances of survival in the war against Russia will be low.
"It is probably very, very, very difficult. And of course, in any difficult situation there is a chance. But without the support of the United States, we will have a low chance-a low chance of survival," Zelensky emphasized.
The President confessed that he does not even want to imagine the fight against Russia without the help of the United States, as this greatly increases the risks for Ukraine. He also expressed concern about the possible cessation of US military support, which would make the country vulnerable to a new major attack by Russia.
Zelensky emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin does not seek to complete the war, but only seeks opportunities to obtain a truce that will allow the Kremlin to regroup troops and achieve a weakening of international sanctions.
"He wants to pause, prepare, workout, achieve some sanctions in connection with the truce," the President of Ukraine explained.
Earlier, Zelensky noted that he was ready to meet Putin, but only if the joint plan was developed to complete the war with the participation of Ukraine, the US and European partners.
The day before, US President Donald Trump announced a meeting of representatives of Ukraine and Russia on the termination of war, which should take place in Saudi Arabia. Zelensky confirmed that he would soon visit Saudi Arabia, as well as the United Arab Emirates and Turkey.
