The European auto market is experiencing impressive growth in 2023, and the sales of cars in almost all countries of the continent are rapidly increasing. During the first nine months of this year, 9 684 894 new cars were sold, which is 17% more than in the same period of the previous year, according to Focus2Move.
In almost all European countries, with the exception of Hungary and Norway, cars sales are increasing. The greatest growth was recorded in Portugal (+34.1%), Belgium (+33.2%) and Croatia (+32.3%). It is also important to note the increase in the proportion of environmentally friendly cars. Hybrids make up 27.3% of the total number of machines sold, and electric vehicles - 14.8%.
The most popular car in Europe in 2023 was the electric crossover Tesla Model Y, which demonstrated a striking increase of 155% and found 216,670 buyers.
