13 Israelis plan to release Hamas today as part of a four-day truce

Hamas plans to release 13 more Israelis today as part of a prisoner exchange between the Palestinian organization and Israel. According to The Times of Israel, this will happen within the framework of a four-day truce that arose after a temporary cease-fire announced by Israel.

About 50 hostages, including children and women, are expected to be freed within the next four days. For every Israeli they release, three Palestinian security prisoners will be replaced in exchange.

It said the four-day truce could be extended by one more day for each group of 10 hostages Hamas frees.

By now, the first group of hostages, Israeli citizens, had already been released on November 24 and sent to a checkpoint on the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt. This came as a result of a temporary ceasefire that Israel announced, ending the military campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
