Germany has announced the blocking of Russian assets worth more than four billion euros. The information was conveyed by the representative of the Ministry of Finance of Germany, Nazhinan Niminede-Dundadenar, during a briefing.
He stated that in the context of the Russian War against Ukraine in Germany, as of early December, sanctioned assets worth about 4.1 billion euros. These restrictions apply to frozen funds, economic resources of individuals, as well as the money of the Russian Central Bank.
The representative of the German Foreign Ministry, Christian Wagner, reminded the decisions of the G7 countries on the freezing of Russian state assets in accordance with the legal systems of participants, defining it as an important step. Earlier it was reported that the United States proposes to consider the possibility of confiscation of $ 300 billion of Russian assets, and the European Commission has supported a proposal to use income from frozen assets to restore Ukraine.
