Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga visited Lebano within the Middle Eastern trip. In the capital of the country, Beirut, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and members of the Ukrainian delegation held a number of meetings with Lebanese officials, political and religious leaders. Separate the minister met with representatives of the Ukrainian community.
Cybersecurity was one of the key topics of negotiation with Lebanon Telecommunications Minister. The parties discussed the possibility of using Ukrainian experience in the field of digitalization and agreed on the development of partnership in this area.
During a meeting with the Ukrainian community, Andrey Sibiga expressed support for the initiative to create a Ukrainian Cultural Center in Lebanon. The Minister gave appropriate assignments to implement this project and emphasized his importance to strengthen the links between the Ukrainian diaspora and the historical homeland.
"We are ready to deepen the Ukrainian-Linanian relations, to develop political and economic cooperation, to strengthen interpersonal relations," the minister said on the basis of the visit.
