The Antimonopoly Committee checks oil producers for violation of competition laws

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) initiated the consideration of the case against two companies-LLC "Iva-Art" and LLC "Asix Group"-for violation of the law on protection against unfair competition. The reason was the spread of untrue butter, which misleads consumers.

According to the AMCU press service, the companies were distributed on packaging of butter that were not true. Thus, Iva-Art LLC noted 72.5% fat on the label of its butter "peasant", which it meets the State Standard "DSTU 4399: 2005", although it did not have proper confirmation of this. The same applies to LLC "Assixes Group", which on its product indicated similar information - "butter of a sweet peasant peasant 73.5% of fat", which also had no corresponding confirmation.

"Such actions of companies can be qualified as a violation provided for in Article 15-1 of the Law of Ukraine" On Protection against unfair competition ", as they mislead consumers on the composition, properties and standard of the product," the AMCU said.

The Committee is currently investigating, and manufacturers can be held accountable for disseminating false information about their goods.
