Belgium plans to provide Ukraine with a military assistance package worth $ 450 million.
According to the information published in Shepard Media, this package will include 300 LMV armored vehicles and three miners.
The new Beleux military assistance initiative is aimed at strengthening Ukraine's military potential and implemented by Belgium with the Netherlands. In addition, countries will provide training of Ukrainian crews of mining ships.
During 2024, Brussels promised to provide Ukraine with 611 million euros of military assistance to Ukraine. About half of this amount will be aimed at additional artillery ammunition.
The LMV armor is the world's first machine in this class, in which the mine protection system is built in and is an integral element of the undercarriage. The design of the machine is also designed taking into account the possibility of installing passive armor modules.
LMV provides protection against fire weapons 5.56 and 7.62 mm, improvised explosive devices and engineering mines. Additional modules of passive armor can provide protection against fire machine guns.
