Belarus has launched a large -scale increase in military presence on its border with Ukraine, reports the Associated Press. According to information obtained from Belarusian military through state television, the country intensifies the deployment of military units, air defense systems and aircraft in border areas.
This strengthening began the next day after Alexander Lukashenko announced the intention to place almost a third of the country's troops along the border (the number of Belarusian army is about 60,000 people).
On Sunday, Lukashenko stated that this was a response to the deployment of additional Ukrainian troops along the border. Ukraine did not confirm this information.
