As of the evening of May 29, hostilities are ongoing in the border areas of Sumy region. According to Oleg Grigorov, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the situation is observed near the settlements of the Khotinsk and Yunak communities.
“The operational situation remains difficult but controlled. The enemy operates in small groups, trying to penetrate the border villages and fix himself, ”Grigorov wrote on Facebook.
According to him, the situation on the line of collision is dynamic: "Somewhere the initiative is behind us, somewhere the enemy shows activity."
As a result of the exacerbation of the combat situation, more than 50 residents of border communities have been evacuated during the last day.
