According to the British edition of The Telegraph, the United Kingdom supports the idea of granting Ukraine permission to use long -range Storm Shadow missiles for strikes in Russia. However, London chooses not to raise this issue in public to avoid a potential diplomatic conflict with the United States.
It also follows from the article that without American permission, the strikes of British missiles in the Russian Federation will not be affected.
British missiles are commonly used together with the US systems classified, which requires Washington's resolution. According to the newspaper, Britain did not apply to the United States with an official request because the White House against such a step, fearing involving in conflict.
