Intelligence of the United Kingdom predicts that after the capture of the Russian invaders of the city of Valledar in Donetsk region, their next purpose will be the settlement of the Great Novosilka in the Zaporozhye region. This is stated in a reconnaissance review of the British Defense Ministry, published on October 5.
According to intelligence, the capture of the coal took place against the background of the restoration of the Russian offensive campaign in September 2024. During the month, the Russian occupation forces practically surrounded the city, which led to the retreat of Ukrainian troops.
In the last two years, Russia has tried to capture the coal, but suffered heavy losses. These attempts were irregular in nature, but now, with new success, Russian troops are likely to try to continue advancement in the direction of the captured city.
"It is likely that in the next weeks, Russian troops will try to continue the promotion for the coal. In the West, one of the probable goals is the settlement of the Great Novosilka, Zaporizhzhya region, located on the T0509 highway. 8 km to the north is located the settlement of Bogoyavlenko," - said in the British Ministry.
