In the modern world, the smartphone becomes almost the second leather for us, an integral part of our daily lives, writes Blogger Roman Komiz. Every year, the time spent in virtual reality is only growing, which raises the question of how we spend our free time and what our true reality is.
The world of "Matrix" is probably not as a fantastic perspective of humanity as it seems.
In any case, some markers indicate the speed of attention, or more precisely, the life cycle of each person moves from the real world to the world of fundamentally other information space supported by electronic devices.
In this "wonderful new world", we are finding more opportunities for work, business, communication, entertainment, flirting, education, as well as for expressing political preferences and organizing management mechanisms.
Here, for example, how the average time spent on the day by the smartphone has changed:
- Today: 4 hours 39 minutes;
- 5 years ago: 3 hours 42 minutes;
- 10 years ago: 2 hours 36 minutes;
- 14 years ago: 10 min.
The smartphone for some has already become the second skin, part of the body. We are used to using it at the wheel, during sports ... Many do not part with him even in bed or in the soul. But, I think, if you take all the gadgets and the time spent by the average user in the company with them, it will significantly exceed today's 4:39 a day.
The only question is how this average user spends his free time, that is, what does he spend it on? And whether he has in principle the desire and internal impulse to spend it (and this question of will) on something, except for the opportunity to get away from the much less "userfrendley" reality of the surrounding physical world. Especially in the conditions where you do not have to look for something - the proposal "How to get away from reality" finds you alone, and sometimes absolutely free.
Thinking (with a shortage of will) loses the endless flow of finished semantic surrogates, packed under a customized and, allegedly, your own product is a product of your consciousness ... which is in fact no yours, but simply chosen by you from a pre -prepared list.
Who will form these endless "lists"? Do you think an individual or a group of people? Of course, no. This is not a list of candidates for deputies or presidents. These are giant data ranges and information flows that will be automated for any schedule. And it is already happening just in our eyes.
And what will it be about the information? Already, a generative AI can create content that cannot be distinguished from content that reflects the events of the physical world. And what will happen in 5-10 years? At what point will we lose the ability to distinguish this thin face: between physical and synthetic content? ..
That's when the moment of truth will come - the most important moment in the history of mankind)))
