To ensure the security of accounts in social networks, it is important to create a reliable password, the State Intelligence Service emphasized, revealing the methods of checking its reliability and absence of leakage. It is noted that the main rule is a complex password, since many Ukrainians set simple combinations that can be easily broken.
The most frequently used passwords, according to Nord Security's rating, include combinations such as 123456, qwerty, password, as well as phrases like "iloveyou" or personal names.
The department recommended using special generators for creating reliable passwords, such as the service from Cyberpolice, ESET or Avast. They also emphasized the importance of using passphrases - a set of words encrypted by the user, which can be a phrase from a poem, song or book, with the addition of numbers, special characters and a change of case.
As for checking passwords, the State Intelligence Service indicated the possibility of using the Password Checkup tool on the passwords.google.com platform to assess the reliability of passwords saved in a Google account. They also warned against using Russian services and urged to maintain online security.
