Home-fi home problems are a familiar thing to many. Usually the first thought is the provider or a faulty router. But sometimes the reason is much simpler - ordinary objects that are in almost every home can significantly interfere with the signal.
If your router stands in the kitchen next to the microwave, it can be a problem. The microwave operates at the same frequency of 2.4 GHz as Wi-Fi, but with more power, so they interfere with the signal. Place the router away from kitchen appliances.
Metal objects, such as cabinets, racks or washing machine, can block or distort Wi-Fi. Do not place the router on metal surfaces and avoid proximity to large metal structures.
Mirrors are not just a decoration-they are able to reflect the Wi-Fi signal and worsen the quality of communication. Try to keep the router at a sufficient distance from the mirrors.
Other 2.4 GHz devices such as Bluetooth columns or wireless phones can interfere. Remote such gadgets from the router or choose a Wi-Fi range of 5 GHz, if possible.
Water absorbs a Wi-Fi signal. Do not place the router next to large containers with water, vases with flowers or aquariums. In addition, it is better to place the router higher than the floor - this will help to improve the coating.
