The Russian private military company Redut, which receives support from the Russian state, is trying to attract women in fighting in Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom, recent advertisements on social networks have called for women to join the Borz Battalion, which is part of the Russian PEC "Redut" to work with snipers and operators of unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to the UK Ministry of Defense, the "redoubt" is probably financed by the main reconnaissance department of Russia. Advertising ads inspire women to take an active part in hostilities in Ukraine and focus on the roles of sniper and operator of unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to Redom, women are mostly the functions of medical support and catering, but the question of the possibility of attracting women to combat positions remains open.
During the current conflict in Ukraine, women rarely participated in the frontier in the pro-Russian forces, but history shows that in the Soviet Armed Forces during the Second World War there was a strong tradition of female women and other women's combat units.
Earlier this month, the Russian social network "VKontakte" revealed an announcement of admission of women to combat specialties for entry into the Borz Volunteer Battalion for participation in the war in Ukraine. Merries are offered a contract for six months and wages from 220 thousand rubles, as well as a month of preparation and training in occupied Donetsk. For injuries on the front, it is provided for one to three million rubles, for death - five million rubles. Upon completion of the contract, the status of a veteran of hostilities is granted.
The Borz Battalion is commanded by Dmitry Zipir, which the special services of Ukraine are associated with the so -called "Ministry of State Security" of the DNR group. The name "Borz" was given to a regiment of special forces of Ichkeria, who fought against Russian troops during wars in Chechnya.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom, this initiative of the Russian PEC "Redut" can pose a threat to security and stability in the region and requires attention and response of the world community.
