TikTok selling agreement should be concluded by April 5, otherwise the application will cease to work in the United States. This was stated by US President Donald Trump, emphasizing his desire to keep the platform for American users.
Reuters reported on the timing and prospects of sale on March 31, referring to Trump's words when talking to journalists on board Air Force One. Back in January, Trump set a last time to sell Tiktok to the American or other not a Chinese owner. In case of failure to comply with this condition, an application with more than 170 million users in the US will be fully banned. According to the President, many companies have been interested in buying TikTok. One of the possible investors is called the private investment company Blacksstone, which plans to make a minority investment in Tiktok activities in the United States. If the agreement is not concluded by April 5, the platform will cease operation in the US market.
Whether it is possible to conclude an agreement within the specified period and who will become the new TikTok owner remains an open question.
