Israel declared the elimination of the senior military leadership of Iran as a result of a large -scale air operation. On Friday night, the Israeli Defense Army (Tsakhal) reported that more than 200 Air Force fighters attacked more than 100 targets throughout Iran, including high -ranking military leaders.
According to Tsakhal, the three of the highest commanders of the Iranian Armed Forces were destroyed as a result of the strikes: the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran Mohammed Hossein Bageri, Commander of the Corps of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution Hossein Salami and the Command of the Extraordinary Command of Hatham.
The operation was under the exact guidance of the Intelligence Department of the Israeli Army. These blows became one of the largest confrontation between Israel and Iran.
At the same time, the Iranian media reported the death of Mohammed Bagare, but Irna's information agency subsequently denied this data, indicating the ambiguity of official information from Tehran.
Such a large -scale blow indicates an exacerbation of tension in the region and the risks of further escalation of the conflict. Israel confirmed that the operation was aimed at weakening Iran's military capacity and prevention of country security.
