Denmark accelerates delivery of CAESAR self-propelled guns to Ukraine

Denmark continues to increase Ukraine's support in the face of its confrontation with Russian aggression. The Ministry of Defense of the country has announced a significant acceleration of the supply of weapons, including self -propelled artillery units (SAU) Caesar and ammunition, which were first planned for transfer in 2026. Thanks to the new arrangements, weapons will be arrived in 2025.

To ensure the accelerated supply of weapons, the Denmark government will increase the financing of a defense industrial pool, which is currently 2.6 billion in Danish crowns (about $ 360 million). Defense Minister Troels Lund Polesen noted that by the end of the year it is planned to sign the latest contracts necessary for the sale of these supplies. Due to the reduction of the CAU production cycle, the French manufacturer from 30 to 15 months, Denmark was able to accelerate the transfer of these systems to Ukraine. In November, France reported an increase in production - six to 12 SAUs per month.

In addition to the artillery installations themselves, Denmark will accelerate the transfer of ammunition to them. It is expected that the Ukrainian defense forces will receive the necessary resources in 2025, which will significantly strengthen the artillery capacity of the Armed Forces. "Caesar and ammunition systems are in high demand among the Ukrainian military. I am glad that Denmark can contribute to providing Ukraine with these critical equipment," said the Head of the Defense Office. The acceleration of the supply of Caesar and ammunition is an important element of Ukraine's support against the background of a growing need for high -precision artillery. Denmark demonstrates an example of effective coordination with other European countries, including France, in strengthening Ukraine's defense capability.

These measures also testify to the adaptation of the European Defense Industry to the conditions of long war and high demand for modern weapons.
