Former US President Donald Trump, who is again running for President from the Republican Party, ahead of Vice President of Kamal Harris, a candidate from the Democratic Party, among independent voters. According to a new survey, 42% of independent voters expressed their readiness to support Trump, while Harris has 37% support. Another 13% of the respondents did not decide on their choice, reports “The Hill”.
According to the survey, Trump looks confident among the key group of voters, which can play a crucial role in the elections. However, the situation for Harris looks less stable.
In addition, the situation around Kamala Harris is complicated by problems with her neighbors. According to WSJ, residents of the street where Harris lives, have expressed dissatisfaction due to frequent roads and congestion caused by security measures. They even expressed a desire to vote for Harris, but only if she sells her home, which, of course, is a joking but indicative reaction.
At the same time, a new critic about the age of her main opponent appeared in the election campaign. Trump has recently repeatedly criticized President Joe Baiden for his age, calling into question his ability to fully fulfill his duties. Now Harris and her team have used the same tactics against Trump, emphasizing his age and concept "Let's make America great again!" as rudiments of the past.
"Trump's part of the campaign is definitely to bring the country back, not move it forward - to return it at a time that people do not want to return.
