On the night of May 26, in the Russian city of Kineshma, in the Ivanovo region, explosions occurred - a Dmitry chemical plant was hit. The attack, according to local sources, happened around 3:50 am and was carried out at least three drones.
This was reported by Russian propaganda resources Mash and Astra. The operational headquarters of the Ivanovo region declared a reflection of the UAV attack, but acknowledged that the fragments of drones fell in the industrial zone. The victims have not been officially recorded, although the damage to the outbuilding was stored and a small fire was reported. The locals claim that two drones hit the target and one exploded in the air. The warehouses with especially explosive substances were not affected, but the city has stamped windows and local ignition.
The Exilenova+ OSINT Analytics confirmed that the purpose of the impact was the Dmitry Chemical Plant, which, according to their data, can produce substances used for explosive production, in particular for the needs of the Russian Army. The Ministry of Defense of Russia reported the killing of four drones over the Ivanovo region during the day, but the Ukrainian side did not officially comment on the kineshma.
This is not the first incident at the Dmitry Chemical Plant. In April 2022, there was already a large -scale fire - then the cause was the fire of acetone due to electrical discharge. The plant is considered one of the largest manufacturers of industrial solvents in Russia.
